Ionică Baltian hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. If Luca Mureșan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the game, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Luca Mureșan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eugen Popean made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Eugen Popean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Mureșan, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After some careless play in the -BZF- Viitorul Buzau defense, Leontin Zgaroi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iustinian Purcărete. The -BZF- Viitorul Buzau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iustinian Purcărete should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgil Leucuța during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Virgil Leucuța hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Luca Mureșan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugen Popean read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. After 35 minutes of play, -BZF-Magica Steaua's Gelu Mănescu made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iustinian Purcărete was left in no man's land by his defense there! 41 minutes into the match, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Luca Mureșan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eugen Popean narrowly saved just below the crossbar. -BZF-Magica Steaua's Eugen Popean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Mureșan in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luca Mureșan to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Dan Otețea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -BZF-Magica Steaua and the -BZF- Viitorul Buzau players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of -BZF- Viitorul Buzau booed when -BZF-Magica Steaua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Otețea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leontin Zgaroi hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Petru Pamfil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 59th match minute, -BZF-Magica Steaua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gelu Mănescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Isac Dichiseanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 played minutes -BZF-Magica Steaua got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Năsturel. In the 75th minute of the match Traian Muntean sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eugen Popean skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to -BZF-Magica Steaua getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Gelu Mănescu hit a great ball. Dacian Năsturel hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Traian Muntean didn't quite understand what happened when in the 88 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After some careless play in the -BZF- Viitorul Buzau defense, Gelu Mănescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iustinian Purcărete. The -BZF- Viitorul Buzau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iustinian Purcărete should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF-Magica Steaua's zone, Luca Mureșan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugen Popean came out of the goal and Luca Mureșan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The -BZF- Viitorul Buzau supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching -BZF-Magica Steaua's performance. The match ended with a win for -BZF-Magica Steaua.
