In the 6thth minute of the game Corneliu Sântimbrean who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Răzvan Cara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner ended in Corneliu Sântimbrean almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Răzvan Cara did a great save. In the 13th match minute, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ioan Ghimiș to maneuver through the defense. -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Răzvan Cara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneliu Sântimbrean in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Poenaru came free, but Octav Hortopan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Corneliu Sântimbrean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Răzvan Cara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corneliu Sântimbrean in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Răzvan Cara saved -BZF- Chimia Buzau from getting behind. Răzvan Cara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Filimon, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute, Sorin Nisipeanu made a precise shot to the right of Octav Hortopan. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 33rd minute Corneliu Sântimbrean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Răzvan Cara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grigore Purje charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Grigore Purje the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th minute, Grigore Purje hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, Corneliu Sântimbrean dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Răzvan Cara, 1-1. With a little luck, -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Răzvan Cara got control of the ball when Aurelian Acalinei tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Poenaru was the one to do the kick off. Sorin Nisipeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Răzvan Cara came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Corneliu Sântimbrean. But to his dismay, Corneliu Sântimbrean quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Răzvan Cara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Sântimbrean in the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, -BZF- Chimia Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Corneliu Sântimbrean came free, but Răzvan Cara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristinel Niculescu during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristinel Niculescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Martin Poenaru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Corneliu Sântimbrean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, -BZF- Chimia Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelian Acalinei came free, but Răzvan Cara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Răzvan Bara fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored -BZF- Chimia Buzau's protests and gave Răzvan Bara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th match minute, -BZF- Chimia Buzau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Răzvan Bara to maneuver through the defense. When Răzvan Bara was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. Răzvan Bara kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corneliu Sântimbrean in the 82nd minute of play forced -BZF- Chimia Buzau's goalkeeper Răzvan Cara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Chimia Buzau's zone, Corneliu Sântimbrean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Răzvan Cara came out of the goal and Corneliu Sântimbrean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 87 played minutes -BZF- Fc Gheraseni got a freekick which was hit by Panait Păun. The long shot by Radu Zăvoianu in the 88th minute really tested Octav Hortopan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Răzvan Cara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgil Nedelcea, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Corneliu Sântimbrean got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Aurelian Acalinei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Răzvan Cara was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
