Avram Ştercă came out of the goal and Petru Tărău tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Avram Ştercă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nichifor Barbălată in the 10th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Tudor Cioculescu could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Avram Ştercă however easily saved by the left post. Avram Ştercă made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tudor Cioculescu in the 12th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goal looked a bit too open when Petru Tărău came free, but Avram Ştercă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 played minutes Batalionul U23 Dorobanti got a freekick which was hit by Korneliusz Barna. Tudor Cioculescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Avram Ştercă made a huge save. The score was now 2-0. 47 minutes into the match, A4p FC Gad's goal looked a bit too open when Korneliusz Barna came free, but Olimpiu Târlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ion Petrică to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xerxes Doro to maneuver through the defense. Ion Petrică sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ozzy Doro hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Xerxes Doro took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olimpiu Târlea. Olimpiu Târlea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After a rather tough play, A4p FC Gad's Nichifor Barbălată got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After 64 played minutes A4p FC Gad got a freekick which was hit by Nichifor Barbălată. The supporters of A4p FC Gad booed when Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xerxes Doro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xerxes Doro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Olimpiu Târlea came out and tried to block the shot, but Xerxes Doro slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 72nd minute. Olimpiu Târlea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Korneliusz Barna in the 76th minute. Gică Chilian charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gică Chilian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 80 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Bianu came free, but Avram Ştercă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Xerxes Doro came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Batalionul U23 Dorobanti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xerxes Doro couldn't finish the play. Matei Filipoiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Avram Ştercă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Avram Ştercă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matei Filipoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Batalionul U23 Dorobanti supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Batalionul U23 Dorobanti would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
