The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nildo Chaves got free with Edvaldo Medeiros in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 7 minutes Londrina's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Geovani Coutinho who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, Londrina's Edvaldo Medeiros got control of the ball when Nildo Chaves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nildo Chaves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Edvaldo Medeiros made a huge save. Nildo Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Edvaldo Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. COURO COME FC's Léo Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Albuquerque in the 23rd minute of play. Iuri Cardozo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Londrina's goalkeeper Edvaldo Medeiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 31 minutes into the game, Iuri Cardozo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edvaldo Medeiros. Iuri Cardozo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. 34 minutes into the match, Londrina's goalkeeper Edvaldo Medeiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aírton Faria. 35 minutes into the match, Londrina's goalkeeper Edvaldo Medeiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hieronim Rosiewicz. Léo Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Guerra in the 40th minute of play. The wind increased when Gonçalo Guerra made the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes COURO COME FC got a freekick which was hit by Hieronim Rosiewicz. In the 57th minute of the match Luís Paulo Mendes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Léo Sampaio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Iuri Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Nildo Chaves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The COURO COME FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Leonel Koehler got a throw-in 67 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Nildo Chaves. Edvaldo Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hieronim Rosiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Guerra in the 79th minute of play forced COURO COME FC's goalkeeper Léo Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edvaldo Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iuri Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 86 minutes into the match, Londrina's goal looked a bit too open when Hieronim Rosiewicz came free, but Edvaldo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Londrina's zone, Hieronim Rosiewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvaldo Medeiros came out of the goal and Hieronim Rosiewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. COURO COME FC made a substitution. Anísio Diniz replaced Hieronim Rosiewicz. Léo Sampaio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luís Fabiano Paraíba showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-1 in the 91 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. COURO COME FC had won after a very even match.
