Erik Huang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrod Leary having to interfere. Peter Hood was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 26 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, one of Racing Miami Futbol Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Racing Miami Futbol Club. In the 30th minute Garth Burrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrod Leary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baykan Erincer made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson sent off a good shot on target. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilbur Bain in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarrod Leary saved Racing Miami Futbol Club from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilbur Bain to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baykan Erincer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilbur Bain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrod Leary having to interfere. If Paulo Renato Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Jarrod Leary successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 81 minutes into the match, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Wilbur Bain sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jarrod Leary narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wilbur Bain received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jarrod Leary came out and tried to block the shot, but Wilbur Bain slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 81st minute. Erik Huang hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Baykan Erincer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chance Adams in the 98th minute of the match. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
