Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Manfredo de Azevedo started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes MAZER SAF got a freekick which was hit by Héctor Hernández. MAZER SAF's Toninho Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Mendonça in the 5th minute of play. In the 13th minute Paulo Renato Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the MAZER SAF defense, Horácio Pereira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Toninho Schmidt. The MAZER SAF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toninho Schmidt should have stopped the shot. Douglas Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Héctor Hernández, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 37th minute Alberto Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Douglas Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Gonçalves in the 42nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Manfredo de Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Viana was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. Toninho Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Mendonça in the 51st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruninho Bueno during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of MAZER SAF booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruninho Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Mathias Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot. MAZER SAF's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Favoretto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manfredo de Azevedo in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Douglas Viana saved SORRISO E. C. from getting behind. Toninho Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Mendonça in the 61st minute of the match. Héctor Hernández sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. MAZER SAF made a substitution. Enéas Ceresso replaced Paulo Renato Gonçalves. MAZER SAF made a substitution. Doriva Carneiro replaced Manfredo de Azevedo. MAZER SAF's Caco Miranda was substituted for Valdo Sampaio. If Caco Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio Pereira to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doriva Carneiro got free with Douglas Viana in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute Doriva Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, MAZER SAF's Héctor Hernández sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Douglas Viana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Doriva Carneiro came free, but Douglas Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matheus Bidaut hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute, Caco Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute Alberto Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enéas Ceresso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the game, Miguel da Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SORRISO E. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MAZER SAF the free kick. The supporters of MAZER SAF booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Douglas Viana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Héctor Hernández in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SORRISO E. C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while MAZER SAF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
