After a rather tough play, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Lluterio Mendibuey got a free kick in the 17th minute. Washington Aguerre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Lluterio Mendibuey was shown his second yellow card after 18 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. With 28 minutes on the clock, Damián Macaluso commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV:s Washington Aguerre showed great skill when he stopped Agostinho Guedes:s penalty. 41 minutes into the match, Severino da Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Washington Aguerre. When Hibai Viniegra fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's protests and gave Hibai Viniegra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th match minute, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hibai Viniegra to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Laerte Marquez sped through Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Washington Aguerre. If Régis Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Washington Aguerre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Deportivo Peñarol FIFV manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing 卡納里尼奧 FC to win.
