In the 15th minute, Tiago Gabriel Capixaba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Garcia in the 18th minute of play forced Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Alexandro Herreria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Denis Mateo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, one of Deportivo Peñarol FIFV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 26th minute, Victorino Caravantes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Peñarol FIFV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After having played for 31 minutes, Douglas Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Vieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Arí Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th match minute, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Mateo to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Garcia in the 51st minute of play forced Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Alexandro Herreria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan Paraíba took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alexandro Herreria. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Victorino Caravantes's late challenge caught a E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victorino Caravantes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's Erik Bittencourt seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Erik Bittencourt the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Erik Bittencourt had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 68th minute, Erik Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Merexildo Contero got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Hibai Viniegra got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's zone, Tiago Gabriel Capixaba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandro Herreria came out of the goal and Tiago Gabriel Capixaba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandro Herreria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Gabriel Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute of the match, Victorino Caravantes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but William Rezende saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Yan Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the game, E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's Tiago Gabriel Capixaba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandro Herreria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Victorino Caravantes got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Victorino Caravantes off the ground. In the 92nd match minute, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Caravantes to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
