When Dávid Ambrus came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Rákóczifalva SE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dávid Ambrus couldn't finish the play. Endre Dénes's late challenge caught a Lemel SV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Endre Dénes helped the player get up and apologised. When Lemel SV's Edwin Aukes in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rákóczifalva SE's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Lemel SV booed when Rákóczifalva SE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Endre Dénes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th play minute Ton Janus came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gábor Vadas. 1-0. Gábor Vadas made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Edwin Aukes sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Lemel SV's Dries Teunisse got a free kick in the 16th minute. Jack de Zwaan hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Olivier Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ákos Bökönyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Dániel Kutasi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22ndth minute of the game Edwin Aukes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rákóczifalva SE's Gábor Vadas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pieter den Hartog could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Gábor Vadas made a huge save. Dávid Ambrus took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olivier Kahn. Olivier Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 35th minute, Félix Pénzes made a precise shot to the right of Olivier Kahn. Lemel SV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Félix Pénzes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dávid Ambrus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Olivier Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gábor Vadas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edwin Aukes in the 43rd minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edwin Aukes made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Félix Pénzes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rákóczifalva SE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lemel SV the free kick. Félix Pénzes kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Ton Janus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gábor Vadas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Lemel SV's Olivier Kahn got control of the ball when Dávid Ambrus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ákos Bökönyi in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olivier Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Félix Pénzes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Olivier Kahn made a huge save. The supporters of Rákóczifalva SE booed when Lemel SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Aukes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Dávid Ambrus notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Lemel SV's Olivier Kahn. Olivier Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 80 minutes, Tivadar Csáki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rákóczifalva SE and the Lemel SV players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tivadar Csáki kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 89th minute Edwin Aukes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gábor Vadas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin Aukes in the 94th minute of play forced Rákóczifalva SE's goalkeeper Gábor Vadas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
