C.'s Valdo Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Fernández in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Trancoso in the 17th minute of play forced Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Timoteo Baranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timoteo Baranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes, Domenico Deleyto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Peñarol FIFV and the SORRISO E. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico Deleyto to maneuver through the defense. Timoteo Baranda was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Vítor Sousa. Timoteo Baranda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leopoldo Trancoso's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 34 minutes in the game, Leopoldo Trancoso dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Hibai Viniegra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Valdo Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timoteo Baranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hibai Viniegra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leopoldo Trancoso made a kick off. After 66 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Trancoso. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopoldo Trancoso in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timoteo Baranda saved Deportivo Peñarol FIFV from getting behind. Maximiliano Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Valdo Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute Leopoldo Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timoteo Baranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Deportivo Peñarol FIFV booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseu Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leopoldo Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timoteo Baranda came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by SORRISO E. C.'s Leopoldo Trancoso. But to his dismay, Leopoldo Trancoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. SORRISO E. C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
