Teun Schoenmakers started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Teun Schoenmakers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mark Kimman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remo Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Barrenta SC booed when Lemel SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ted van der Schaaf didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Barrenta SC's Humberto Cardoso got a free kick in the 16th minute. A collision led to Barrenta SC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Umberto Trigo hit a great ball. Jacques Brinke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Jardel Varela made a huge save. With a little luck, Barrenta SC's Jardel Varela got control of the ball when Jacques Brinke tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo Falcão in the 33rd minute of play forced Lemel SV's goalkeeper Mark Kimman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remo Falcão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jardel Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teun Schoenmakers in the 53rd minute of the match. Pedro Luiz Jacinto was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 55 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Barrenta SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lemel SV:s goal. In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Lemel SV. Gerard Keupink stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jardel Varela. 2-0. Ted van der Schaaf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jardel Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 65 minutes, Remo Falcão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrenta SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remo Falcão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hernani Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Mark Kimman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mark Kimman made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Remo Falcão sent off a good shot on target. When Simon Swart fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lemel SV's protests and gave Simon Swart a yellow card for diving instead. Simon Swart hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the game, Gerard Keupink was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lemel SV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrenta SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Lemel SV's Gerard Keupink got a free kick in the 78th minute. Lemel SV's Mark Kimman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Lemel SV from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Lemel SV's Philip Traa got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lemel SV fans cheered their team off the field, for while Barrenta SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
