After some careless play in the Barrenta SC defense, Xuan Matas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Allan Félix. The Barrenta SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Allan Félix should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute Xuan Matas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Félix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 17 minutes, Remo Falcão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrenta SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remo Falcão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Txomin Rujido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Luiz Jacinto. A collision led to Deportivo Peñarol FIFV getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Ted Villafuentes hit a great ball. In the 31st match minute, Barrenta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Umberto Trigo to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the game, Murilo Mazza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrenta SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Peñarol FIFV the free kick. A collision led to Barrenta SC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Juan Manuel Olivera scored 0-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Allan Félix, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Barrenta SC's Allan Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hibai Viniegra in the 42nd minute of play. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ben White in the 44th minute. A nice corner shot did that Ben White got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Allan Félix quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Deportivo Peñarol FIFV getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Cresenciano Romillo hit a great ball.

The wind increased when Fellipe de Lima made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ted Villafuentes during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Xuan Matas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Allan Félix made a huge save. Pedro Luiz Jacinto charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Luiz Jacinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Allan Félix, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Xuan Matas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Allan Félix skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Remo Falcão scored 1-2 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Txomin Rujido, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Deportivo Peñarol FIFV booed when Barrenta SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ben White recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barrenta SC's Allan Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Manuel Olivera in the 73rd minute of play. Allan Félix didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xuan Matas went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Allan Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Manuel Olivera in the 79th minute of play. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Txomin Rujido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Falcão in the 85th minute of play. Allan Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Pelaez, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The Deportivo Peñarol FIFV supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo Peñarol FIFV would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
