Bert Karlsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Anders Larsson made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Beltrán Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Arvid Carlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Cecilio Seber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilgot Palmquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Linköpings AIK's Arvid Carlsson was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 27th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 32 minutes into the game, Linköpings AIK's Bert Karlsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anders Larsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Mattias Cassel kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Eskil Åkesson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vilgot Palmquist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After 63 minutes Club Atletico Fenix's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Birger Gudmundsson who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Birger Gudmundsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Anders Larsson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arvid Carlsson in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anders Larsson saved Club Atletico Fenix from getting behind. In the 67th match minute, Club Atletico Fenix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisito Sandalio to maneuver through the defense. In the 74thth minute of the game Bert Karlsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico Fenix's Anders Larsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when Club Atletico Fenix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Gau didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Bert Karlsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Linköpings AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Allan Karlsson charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bert Karlsson in the 88th minute of play forced Club Atletico Fenix's goalkeeper Anders Larsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilgot Palmquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eskil Åkesson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Fenix's Inocencio Ugutz got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Anders Larsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bert Karlsson's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Club Atletico Fenix's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
