Morro Grande E.C's Gláuber Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Lewandowski in the 33rd minute of play. If Habib Ali Picavea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gláuber Brodel made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Enrique Veremundo sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Morro Grande E.C were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enrique Veremundo made a kick off. Zdzislaw Jenkot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Habib Ali Picavea in the 56th minute. Zdzislaw Jenkot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Habib Ali Picavea could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Zdzislaw Jenkot however easily saved by the left post. In the 62nd minute Kaká Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zdzislaw Jenkot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
