If Elano Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in BMB IMOVEIS SC's zone, Marcel Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio de Azevedo came out of the goal and Marcel Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the match, Donato Marques notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre. Ismael Nazario Serre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 29 minutes into the match, Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ismael Nazario Serre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silas Arantes. Sérgio de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes, Valdemar de Moraes made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Sérgio de Azevedo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sérgio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar de Moraes in the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, BMB IMOVEIS SC's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar de Moraes came free, but Sérgio de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Papunhas EC were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after BMB IMOVEIS SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcel Pinho took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Marcel Pinho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sérgio de Azevedo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 41 minutes into the match, Papunhas EC's Valdemar de Moraes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sérgio de Azevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Papunhas EC from getting a goal against them. After 46 played minutes BMB IMOVEIS SC got a freekick which was hit by Silas Arantes. In the 47th minute, Christian Baiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sérgio de Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2.

Sérgio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar de Moraes in the 56th minute of play. After some careless play in the BMB IMOVEIS SC defense, Valdemar de Moraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sérgio de Azevedo. The BMB IMOVEIS SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sérgio de Azevedo should have stopped the shot. Agostinho de Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Silas Arantes charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silas Arantes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes BMB IMOVEIS SC got a freekick which was hit by Silas Arantes. In the 68th minute, Vítor Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Elano Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christian Baiano scored 1-4 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sérgio de Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th minute of the match, Valdemar de Moraes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sérgio de Azevedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Sérgio de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Pinho in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to Papunhas EC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Valério Linhares hit a great ball. Sérgio de Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Baiano in the 90th minute. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Sérgio de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar de Moraes in the 97th minute of play. Papunhas EC were awarded a corner in the 98th minute after BMB IMOVEIS SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcel Pinho took the corner. The Papunhas EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
