Valencia C.F. were furious when José Luis Gayà was red carded, 30 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Belo Alvarez made a kick off. A.D. Alcorcón's Laurin Mangas was substituted for Nereo Acosta. A.D. Alcorcón's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erlantz Bermejo in the 61st minute. The corner led to A.D. Alcorcón's Esteban Vadillos getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erlantz Bermejo in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerry Lodge saved Valencia C.F. from getting behind. Joe Herring could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Maurino Serena made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belo Alvarez in the 76th minute of play forced Valencia C.F.'s goalkeeper Jerry Lodge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Valencia C.F.'s zone, Erlantz Bermejo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerry Lodge came out of the goal and Erlantz Bermejo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A.D. Alcorcón's Leroy Antunez was substituted for Belo Alvarez. A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save A.D. Alcorcón from getting a goal against them. Maurino Serena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joe Herring in the 84th minute. The audience was convinced that Leroy Antunez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jerry Lodge was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. In the 86thth minute of the game Leroy Antunez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valencia C.F.'s Jerry Lodge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
