A collision led to MarquinhosEC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Curt Montes hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Jacobo Casado managed to get in a good position for a shot. SeleSantos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacobo Casado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zézinho Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, SeleSantos FC's Vânderson de Moraes got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Dinei Pinheiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dinei Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vágner Porto in the 13th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Florin Susara made a precise shot to the right of Dinei Pinheiro. SeleSantos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 22nd minute Leif Törnqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zézinho Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dinei Pinheiro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 24th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. When SeleSantos FC's Niilo Mikkola in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Zézinho Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Casado in the 31st minute of the match. After 31 minutes, Niilo Mikkola made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. MarquinhosEC's Zézinho Simões tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When SeleSantos FC's Jacobo Casado in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Inácio Freitas made a kick off. In the 51st minute Inácio Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobo Casado in the 55th minute of play forced MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Zézinho Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinei Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the match, SeleSantos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vágner Porto came free, but Dinei Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dinei Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Curt Montes in the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SeleSantos FC's Leif Törnqvist got a free kick in the 63rd minute. MarquinhosEC made a substitution. Gabriel Martini replaced Esteve Quinto. Leif Törnqvist hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After 67 played minutes SeleSantos FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedrão Godoi. Dinei Pinheiro came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by MarquinhosEC's Vágner Porto. But to his dismay, Vágner Porto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Pedrão Godoi lost his temper 72 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in SeleSantos FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! Dinei Pinheiro had in the 73rdth minute some difficulties stopping Inácio Freitas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 74 minutes into the match, SeleSantos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Freitas came free, but Dinei Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, SeleSantos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Meertens came free, but Dinei Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Inácio Freitas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dinei Pinheiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. When Curt Montes came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the MarquinhosEC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Curt Montes couldn't finish the play. Zézinho Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Casado in the 84th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Curt Montes in the 85th minute of play forced SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Dinei Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Perivaldo Guimarães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dinei Pinheiro. SeleSantos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Perivaldo Guimarães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MarquinhosEC fans cheered their team off the field, for while SeleSantos FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
