The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, FC Steaua Pildesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Buș to maneuver through the defense. Dinu Vrânceanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Hök showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinu Vrânceanu in the 11th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Sebastian Tolsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute Dinu Vrânceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Hök saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's Mircea Isvoreanu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 23 minutes into the game, Gýmir Gryc cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Luca Corcoveanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Pajala Sunrise's Yngve Sandström got a free kick in the 26th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Pajala Sunrise's goal looked a bit too open when Dinu Vrânceanu came free, but Daniel Hök reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valer Cobâlcescu during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Pajala Sunrise booed when FC Steaua Pildesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valer Cobâlcescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gýmir Gryc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dinu Vrânceanu charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dinu Vrânceanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Steaua Pildesti's Dinu Vrânceanu got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dinu Vrânceanu was the one to do the kick off. Marius Cănănău sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Pajala Sunrise's goalkeeper Daniel Hök had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dinu Vrânceanu. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Gýmir Gryc put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Luca Corcoveanu. After 61st play minutes Gýmir Gryc shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Luca Corcoveanu and just under the crossbar into goal. Yngve Sandström hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Luca Corcoveanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arne Tingelholm's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dinu Gherguț during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Steaua Pildesti getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dinu Gherguț hit a great ball. After 71 played minutes, Pajala Sunrise's Einar Larsfelt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luca Corcoveanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pajala Sunrise reached it. Luca Corcoveanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Tingelholm in the 72nd minute of play. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Luca Corcoveanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 84th minute Edgar Jdeica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Hök saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Corcoveanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Tingelholm in the 92nd minute of play. Pajala Sunrise were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
