Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valentin Plopșor started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mihail Dorineanu during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Valentin Plopșor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Valer Nuțu made a huge save. 7 minutes into the game, Dan Gagiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C.BARLAD the free kick. After 7 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Dan Gagiu. Octav Ţintea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Valer Nuțu made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentin Plopșor got free with Valer Nuțu in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bogdan Gurgui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petre Benga, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 28th minute Petre Benga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Gurgui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiberiu Pitiș's late challenge caught a Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiberiu Pitiș helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 played minutes F.C.BARLAD got a freekick which was hit by Tiberiu Pitiș. Petre Benga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute of the match, Rareș Vârlan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Valer Nuțu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu got control of the ball when Valentin Plopșor tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of F.C.BARLAD booed when Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iordache Vuşcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valer Nuțu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Plopșor, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, Ferdinand Simionescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valer Nuțu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Ferdinand Simionescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ferdinand Simionescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Petre Benga made the kick off in the second half. Mădălin Arjoca kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 56th minute Octav Puiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Gurgui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valer Nuțu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Plopșor in the 72nd minute of play. In the 79th minute Valentin Plopșor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Nuțu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinand Simionescu in the 82nd minute of play. Valer Nuțu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rareș Vârlan in the 84th minute of the match. Valer Nuțu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Simionescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Plopșor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valer Nuțu having to interfere. F.C.BARLAD were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- for a fine match.
