With a left leg Timoteo Baranda saved Deportivo Peñarol FIFV from getting behind. Timoteo Baranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionuț Zăgănescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's goalkeeper Ilie Mavrogheni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cresenciano Romillo. 18 minutes into the game, Matei Pupăzan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buffalo Timişoara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Peñarol FIFV the free kick. Matei Pupăzan kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Clemente Pelaez got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosmin Drăghincescu in the 20th minute of play forced Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Timoteo Baranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilie Mavrogheni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xuan Matas, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 29 minutes, Huly Sayago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Peñarol FIFV and the Buffalo Timişoara players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes Deportivo Peñarol FIFV got a freekick which was hit by Oliverios Yaner. 45 minutes into the game, Xuan Matas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ilie Mavrogheni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Xuan Matas made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Avram Nandriș made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Timoteo Baranda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mircea Dumitrana in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Timoteo Baranda, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Oliverios Yaner hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Huly Sayago hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Timoteo Baranda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Avram Nandriș went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. In the 69th match minute, Buffalo Timişoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Caragea to maneuver through the defense. Cresenciano Romillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Mavrogheni having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cresenciano Romillo in the 77th minute of play forced Buffalo Timişoara's goalkeeper Ilie Mavrogheni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ted Villafuentes hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Ionuț Zăgănescu took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Timoteo Baranda. Timoteo Baranda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. The Buffalo Timişoara supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Buffalo Timişoara would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
