Raureni Academy's Manuel Pască played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Irinel Chiriță in the 11th minute of play. Cazimir Traian's late challenge caught a Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cazimir Traian helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Batalionul U23 Dorobanti booed when Raureni Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cazimir Traian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Irinel Chiriță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Manuel Pască tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Pompiliu Andrițoiu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Avram Ştercă was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. A collision led to Batalionul U23 Dorobanti getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Aurel Sucigan hit a great ball. After 32 minutes of play, Raureni Academy's Florin Manu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Avram Ştercă was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35th minute, Raureni Academy's Francisc Ţăranu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Francisc Ţăranu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Raureni Academy protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Francisc Ţăranu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 35 minutes into the game, one of Raureni Academy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Ştefan Petrea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raureni Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Ştefan Petrea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Avram Ştercă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ştefan Petrea hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Ion Chificeac took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manuel Pască. Raureni Academy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 45th match minute, Raureni Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doru Maniu to maneuver through the defense. Nichifor Dumitrescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Pască read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 51st minute Nichifor Dumitrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Pască saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Ştefan Petrea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Pască acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 54th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Aurel Sucigan. Avram Ştercă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florin Manu went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's zone, Ion Pârâianu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Avram Ştercă came out of the goal and Ion Pârâianu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Batalionul U23 Dorobanti getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Aurel Sucigan hit a great ball. In the 77th minute Ion Pârâianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avram Ştercă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nichifor Dumitrescu got free with Manuel Pască in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Avram Ştercă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ştefan Petrea in the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Ştefan Petrea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's zone, Florin Manu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Avram Ştercă came out of the goal and Florin Manu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Avram Ştercă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ion Pârâianu in the 91st minute of the match. Irinel Chiriță took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Pască. Manuel Pască dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
