The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jereba 4EVER's Donato Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Carneiro in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute Gerson Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Jereba 4EVER's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Almeida came free, but Donato Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Amauri Moreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donato Lira. Jereba 4EVER's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amauri Moreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Adalberto Macedo came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Amílton Paraíba could save by the left post. André Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Zé Paulo Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Donato Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerson Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Poetass FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Eliseu Marques hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Poetass FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zé Paulo Castro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gerson Carneiro took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donato Lira. Donato Lira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Nildo de Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nildo de Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Poetass FC's Nildo de Souza got a free kick in the 39th minute. Donato Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphael Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Zé Paulo Castro was slow to take the kick. During this time Jereba 4EVER's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Zé Paulo Castro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Amílton Paraíba quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Abelardo Brodel advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-2 in the 71st minute. Poetass FC made a substitution. Fernando Souza replaced Gerson Carneiro. Poetass FC's Sid Gol was substituted for Raphael Almeida. When Ernesto Ceresso fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jereba 4EVER's protests and gave Ernesto Ceresso a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Jereba 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Ceresso. With an all-out effort, Poetass FC's Donato Lira threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fernando Souza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Amílton Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino de Toledo in the 78th minute of play. Amílton Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino de Toledo in the 83rd minute of the match. Jereba 4EVER's Donato Lira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Jereba 4EVER from getting a goal against them. Jereba 4EVER's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Fernando Souza scored to the left of an out of position Donato Lira, making the score, 1-3. Zé Paulo Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Amílton Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Poetass FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
