The corner ended in Bogumil Czapski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but The Everett Hawks's Ludo Vanden Bossche did a great save. SK Mons's Jerom Smoors proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save SK Mons from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Philippe-Arnaud Heremans kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jerom Smoors. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, The Everett Hawks's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Puttemans came free, but Ludo Vanden Bossche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trevor Eubank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Steven Puttemans made a kick off. In the 51st minute Bogumil Czapski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludo Vanden Bossche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SK Mons's Kong Sen Chen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ludo Vanden Bossche in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jerom Smoors made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fre van Eijnde in the 54th minute of play. Philippe-Arnaud Heremans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jerom Smoors took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Pirlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ludo Vanden Bossche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kong Sen Chen, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. A collision led to The Everett Hawks getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Fre van Eijnde hit a great ball. SK Mons's Luka Van Aken was substituted for Julien Pulix. In the 62nd minute, Fre van Eijnde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SK Mons's Christoph Van den Berch shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 63rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ludo Vanden Bossche but with some difficulty. Jerom Smoors showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Pirlo, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 90 minutes into the match, SK Mons's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Goorts came free, but Jerom Smoors reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. The Everett Hawks had played much better football throughout.
