The Ulfa FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Peter Esterházy might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lionel Paly. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Wil 1900's Ivan Dové slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cosmo Abegg. That made the score 2-3 after 91 minutes of play. Felix Umbach's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lionel Paly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The FC Wil 1900 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Wil 1900 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
