Hamburg Fighters's Pavlos Konstantakakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberigo Sessa in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute Gianni Balla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timo Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, SSV Ulm 1846's goal looked a bit too open when Gianni Balla came free, but Timo Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Gianluca Balla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timo Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timo Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gianluca Balla in the 21st minute of the match. Enrico Piccirilli kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SSV Ulm 1846's Stephane Bosch got a free kick in the 46th minute. 48 minutes into the match, SSV Ulm 1846's goal looked a bit too open when Gianluca Balla came free, but Timo Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dinu Bocu to strike the kick off in the second half. If Wieslaw Obuchowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Don Merlot in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pavlos Konstantakakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th minute Gianni Balla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timo Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by SSV Ulm 1846's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wieslaw Obuchowicz was slow to take the kick. During this time Hamburg Fighters's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of SSV Ulm 1846's goalie and right to Valerian Podlich. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Don Merlot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pavlos Konstantakakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. If Brandon Rick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alberigo Sessa might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pavlos Konstantakakis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberigo Sessa ran back to his position shaking his head. 87 minutes into the match, SSV Ulm 1846's Alberigo Sessa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pavlos Konstantakakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 87 minutes into the game, SSV Ulm 1846's Alberigo Sessa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Despite being the better team, Hamburg Fighters failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
