Flatline Zombies were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after FC Wil 1900's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Uriel Imbach took the corner. Flatline Zombies's Uriel Imbach was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lionel Paly in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Tory Pryor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. In the 40th minute of the match Flatline Zombies got a corner. FC Wil 1900's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Uriel Imbach ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ivan Dové kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Lionel Paly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Levent Erkinay in the 42nd minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Lionel Paly made an important save on a dangerous shot by Levent Erkinay in the 58th minute. Flatline Zombies's Armağan Mukremin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Rosa in the 60th minute of play. 66 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Flatline Zombies's Paulo Seco fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Armağan Mukremin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tory Pryor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Seco in the 79th minute of play forced FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lionel Paly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lionel Paly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liborius Müller in the 88th minute of play.
