The supporters of Alemannia Aachen booed when Hannover Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willi Tilmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jess Carnduff made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Valter Xabat succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 28th playminute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Valter Xabat managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 37th match minute, Alemannia Aachen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lech Wawrukiewicz to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Lundin came free, but Jess Carnduff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alemannia Aachen's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After the first half Hannover Reds were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Qiao Xing Qi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jess Carnduff having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emilio Argina in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jess Carnduff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
