Baraxil Sarrate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gary Lineker in the 22nd minute of the match. Baraxil Sarrate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Mansilha in the 25th minute of play. Baraxil Sarrate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Mansilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Zadornin Puig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Heyckendorf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paul Heyckendorf came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by VILLARREAL UNITED's Valentin Voicu. But to his dismay, Valentin Voicu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Baraxil Sarrate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Mansilha, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Lutz Golke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Baraxil Sarrate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Voicu in the 42nd minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Paul Heyckendorf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reinhard Baum hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Baraxil Sarrate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Mansilha in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valentin Voicu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Valentin Voicu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Paul Heyckendorf, 0-3. If Valentin Voicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 58th minute Valentin Voicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Heyckendorf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paul Heyckendorf made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Valentin Voicu sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Nofre Madariaga could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Paul Heyckendorf however easily saved by the left post. Academica Pulheim's Maxime Vrints was substituted for Lutz Golke. VILLARREAL UNITED made a substitution. Gert Vesterberg replaced Hustaz Quijana. If Valentin Voicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paul Heyckendorf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Voicu, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Valentin Voicu scored 0-4 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paul Heyckendorf, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th minute Valentin Voicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Heyckendorf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 minutes Academica Pulheim's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Delmar Campello who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Valentin Voicu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Academica Pulheim's Paul Heyckendorf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Voicu in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Valentin Voicu notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Academica Pulheim's Paul Heyckendorf. Paul Heyckendorf was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Academica Pulheim defense, Valentin Voicu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paul Heyckendorf. The Academica Pulheim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Heyckendorf should have stopped the shot. Paul Heyckendorf came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by VILLARREAL UNITED's Valentin Voicu. But to his dismay, Valentin Voicu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. In the 94th minute Valentin Voicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Heyckendorf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Voicu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paul Heyckendorf having to make a save. VILLARREAL UNITED played a much better game than Academica Pulheim and deserved their victory. The Academica Pulheim players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
