In the 13th minute Maxime Vrints shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Ritchie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Academica Pulheim's Roberto Seppmann got a free kick in the 15th minute. Nils Witzky kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Tadeusz Marosz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benny Schweinsteiger in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Giermann in the 20th minute of play forced PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper Ovidio Ritchie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Academica Pulheim got a corner. PoWer SC 2K5's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amadeus Segebrecht ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to PoWer SC 2K5 getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. René Bonhof hit a great ball. With a little luck, PoWer SC 2K5's Ovidio Ritchie got control of the ball when Luka Krumrei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ovidio Ritchie was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Romeo Giermann capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Romeo Giermann really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 46th minute, Philipp Breitner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Luka Krumrei came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Academica Pulheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luka Krumrei couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the game, Academica Pulheim's Carl Kröger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ovidio Ritchie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When Academica Pulheim's Romeo Giermann in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PoWer SC 2K5's goalie prevented a goal. It was Malte Rastätter who took care of the corner kick. 77 minutes into the match, PoWer SC 2K5's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Kröger came free, but Ovidio Ritchie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Academica Pulheim's Malte Rastätter to fire away a dangerous shot which Ovidio Ritchie despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ovidio Ritchie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Kröger, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Max Kindl to maneuver through the defense. Carl Kröger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidio Ritchie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 97th minute, Maxime Vrints left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academica Pulheim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0.
