ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's Nicolas Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Carvalho in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th match minute, ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Augusto Araújo to maneuver through the defense. When José Augusto Araújo fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ's protests and gave José Augusto Araújo a yellow card for diving instead. The ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ҜΔΜƗҜΔŽ€Ş ĆƗΜŽ had played much better football throughout.
