Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Lucian to make the kick off. Niles Santos didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 71st minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Niles Santos ran dejectedly back to his position. Stergios Stefanoulis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Cordeiro having to interfere. With a little luck, Caldebrazza's Alessandro Linares got control of the ball when Erasmo Yeste tried to sneak it across the goal line.
