In the 7th minute, Fábio Trevisan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Retumbante FC's Basílio Cearense got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Walmyr Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apat Reina having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Florian Capasso notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Retumbante FC's Apat Reina. Apat Reina was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Apat Reina stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florian Capasso's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute of the match Merusca F&P got a corner. Retumbante FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fellipe Capixaba ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fábio Trevisan made a great header on Merusca F&P's corner, it was just that Retumbante FC's Apat Reina managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 22nd minute of the match Merusca F&P got a corner. Retumbante FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fellipe Capixaba ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Fellipe Capixaba got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Apat Reina quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 31st minute, Florian Capasso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Merusca F&P fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Pedrinho Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florian Capasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Apat Reina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian Capasso in the 38th minute of the match. The supporters of Merusca F&P booed when Retumbante FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Cearense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apat Reina didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florian Capasso went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After the first half Merusca F&P were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Paulo Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. Mauro-Facundo Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Paulo Mendonça in the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of Retumbante FC booed when Merusca F&P was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Merusca F&P getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Anderson Vidal hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Cearense in the 60th minute of play forced Merusca F&P's goalkeeper Mauro-Facundo Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florian Capasso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Apat Reina having to make a save. 66 minutes into the game, Florian Capasso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Apat Reina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Merusca F&P's Hélder Fonseca was substituted for Florian Capasso. Retumbante FC made a substitution. Luiz Fernando Mota replaced Danilo Nogueira. Retumbante FC's Fabinho Bittencourt was substituted for Kauã Mandrak. In the 73rd minute Walmyr Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apat Reina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merusca F&P's Mauro-Facundo Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fernando Mota in the 74th minute of play. Pedrinho Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apat Reina having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho Bittencourt in the 91st minute of play forced Merusca F&P's goalkeeper Mauro-Facundo Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Retumbante FC's goalkeeper Apat Reina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led Merusca F&P's Hélder Fonseca to fire away a dangerous shot which Apat Reina despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 95 minutes, Hélder Fonseca made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Retumbante FC's Apat Reina tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Merusca F&P players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
