Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dragolyub Dzhahov in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabian Arendarski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Borys Poreda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roman Kon in the 20th minute. Roman Kon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Borys Poreda made a huge save. In the 41stth minute of the game Zhu Yan Quan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Fabian Arendarski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Zagłębie Dąbrowskie defense, Dragolyub Dzhahov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabian Arendarski. The Zagłębie Dąbrowskie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabian Arendarski should have stopped the shot. Borys Poreda made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Edgar Scislowicz sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Borys Poreda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ömür Seyfeddin, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Fabian Arendarski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhu Yan Quan in the 73rd minute of play. Dragolyub Dzhahov might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabian Arendarski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dragolyub Dzhahov ran back to his position shaking his head. If Zhu Yan Quan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zhu Yan Quan got free with Fabian Arendarski in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Borys Poreda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patryk Zukowski in the 94th minute of the match. When the match was over Victoria Toruń could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zagłębie Dąbrowskie throughout the match.
