Romulo Jon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Pirro in the 19th minute of play. Cristian Pirro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Romulo Jon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eleuterio Quintan hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Cristian Pirro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romulo Jon having to make a save. Maximo Bide made in the 33rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Mariano Noe. 35 minutes into the game, Maximo Bide threw the ball into play from the sideline. Los Hijos Del Pellegrini's Eleuterio Quintan quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 39 minutes into the match, EL PEPO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Pirro came free, but Romulo Jon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in EL PEPO FC's zone, Carlos Augusto Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romulo Jon came out of the goal and Carlos Augusto Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

If Cristian Pirro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the game, Cristian Pirro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Romulo Jon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Anibal Beltxe fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EL PEPO FC's protests and gave Anibal Beltxe a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Pirro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Romulo Jon. That made the score 0-2 in the 66 minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Cristian Pirro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Pirro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romulo Jon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. The Los Hijos Del Pellegrini fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Los Hijos Del Pellegrini's Cristian Pirro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
