In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Habsburgo's goalkeeper Honorato Aznaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabian Hansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honorato Aznaro made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Gică Bogdan sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Habsburgo's zone, Saturnino Romo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorato Aznaro came out of the goal and Saturnino Romo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Willian Pay to make the kick off. Honorato Aznaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Romo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute.
