Atahan Balon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Elpidio Francis notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Los Muchachos del 86's Atahan Balon. Atahan Balon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 12 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Luka Ljubenković came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elpidio Francis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atahan Balon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, one of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA. The excitement rose when Los Muchachos del 86's Jérémie Boix after 18 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-2. Elpidio Francis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Atahan Balon having to make a save. 23 minutes into the match, Los Muchachos del 86's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Francis came free, but Atahan Balon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Peruanton in the 25th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jérémie Boix, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Elpidio Francis took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Atahan Balon. Atahan Balon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Francis in the 44th minute of the match. Elpidio Francis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Atahan Balon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Luka Ljubenković sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jérémie Boix in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Muchachos del 86's goalkeeper Atahan Balon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Petrică Măcriș managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters rose to their feet, but Petrică Măcriș was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jérémie Boix in the 71st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jérémie Boix in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Branislav Velchevski saved ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting behind. After 80 played minutes Los Muchachos del 86 got a freekick which was hit by Babbis Boukouvalas. Los Muchachos del 86's Fabio Bencivenni was substituted for Jérémie Boix. Los Muchachos del 86 made a substitution. Efrain Jacob replaced Luka Ljubenković. A collision led to Los Muchachos del 86 getting a freekick after 82 minutes play.
