With a little luck, Playa Malvín's Zé Roberto Teixeira got control of the ball when Arnaldo Gabon tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14th minute, Stamen Tekeliev made a precise shot to the right of Branislav Velchevski. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Playa Malvín's Zé Roberto Teixeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Playa Malvín from getting a goal against them. In the 23rd minute, Stamen Tekeliev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Branislav Velchevski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Zé Roberto Teixeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elpidio Francis's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's zone, Stamen Tekeliev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Branislav Velchevski came out of the goal and Stamen Tekeliev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stamen Tekeliev, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Zé Roberto Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stelian Murgu hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bonifacio Suarez during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 37 minutes into the game, one of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some careless play in the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA defense, Stamen Tekeliev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Branislav Velchevski. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Branislav Velchevski should have stopped the shot. In the 41st minute, Constantijn De Hond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stamen Tekeliev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stamen Tekeliev got free with Branislav Velchevski in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the game, Playa Malvín's Stamen Tekeliev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Branislav Velchevski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Aristides Asteri was substituted for Arnaldo Gabon. Playa Malvín's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stelian Murgu in the 69th minute. Quinto Ampudia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute Quinto Ampudia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Bonifacio Suarez got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 77 minutes into the match, Alvise Catapano notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski. Branislav Velchevski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 82 minutes into the match, Playa Malvín's goal looked a bit too open when André Monclús came free, but Zé Roberto Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Playa Malvín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quinto Ampudia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute André Monclús shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Roberto Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Branislav Velchevski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Quinto Ampudia went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. 93 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Roberto Teixeira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Playa Malvín players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
