In the 7th minute, Suprs Academia's Nuno Mourato seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nuno Mourato the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Suprs Academia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nuno Mourato had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 8 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's Nelsinho Marinho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Manuel Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Nelsinho Marinho made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Silveira. Suprs Academia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 15thth minute of the game Nelsinho Marinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Suprs Academia's Manuel Silveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th minute of the match, Ronaldo Pirani tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Manuel Silveira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 18 minutes, Bento Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Suprs Academia and the Palestra do Interior players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, Suprs Academia's Manuel Silveira got control of the ball when Nelsinho Marinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manuel Silveira was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Nelsinho Marinho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nelsinho Marinho really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Sérgio Cruz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Manuel Silveira 26 minutes into the match. Doni Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Sérgio Cruz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manuel Silveira. Sérgio Cruz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Manuel Silveira didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Palestra do Interior's Nelsinho Marinho shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After 44 minutes, Delfim Quintal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palestra do Interior and the Suprs Academia players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nelsinho Marinho made a kick off. Palestra do Interior's Ronaldo Pirani got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Nelsinho Marinho notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Suprs Academia's Manuel Silveira. Manuel Silveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Nelsinho Marinho sped through Suprs Academia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Manuel Silveira. 62 minutes into the match, Nelsinho Marinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Silveira. Suprs Academia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nelsinho Marinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Ronaldo Pirani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Suprs Academia's Manuel Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelsinho Marinho in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Suprs Academia's Telmo Lousada got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 74th minute, Nelsinho Marinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palestra do Interior fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. Suprs Academia's Manuel Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelsinho Marinho in the 77th minute of play. After some careless play in the Suprs Academia defense, Sérgio Cruz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Silveira. The Suprs Academia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Silveira should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Palestra do Interior were the better team. Palestra do Interior's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
