In the 4th minute Damaso Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Erramu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tao Ke Qiang blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petre Traian having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Belén's Graham Ashton got a free kick in the 15th minute. Petre Traian made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Tao Ke Qiang sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Congo Bongo's Petre Traian got control of the ball when Tao Ke Qiang tried to sneak it across the goal line. Petre Traian was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Tao Ke Qiang capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tao Ke Qiang really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Defensores de Belén's Graham Ashton quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bernabe Odon, made in the 37th minute of the game. Dante Erramu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tao Ke Qiang to strike the kick off in the second half. Dante Erramu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Congo Bongo's Arnaldo Oidor was substituted for Damaso Sancho. Dante Erramu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Iaki in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Congo Bongo's Sergio Austin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. When Cornelio Abastas fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Defensores de Belén's protests and gave Cornelio Abastas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Congo Bongo booed when Defensores de Belén was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelio Abastas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Congo Bongo's Arnaldo Oidor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Erramu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Austin in the 78th minute of play forced Defensores de Belén's goalkeeper Dante Erramu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Defensores de Belén fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Arnaldo Oidor took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Erramu. Dante Erramu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Congo Bongo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
