With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ken Urdal saved CORNUDOS Fútbol Club from getting behind. Rey Normando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Denis Paulin made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 35th minute of play forced CORNUDOS Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Ken Urdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 minutes CORNUDOS Fútbol Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Godfredo Gau who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, Defensores de Lombroso's Denis Paulin got control of the ball when Rey Normando tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Lionel-Andrés Messi came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Defensores de Lombroso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lionel-Andrés Messi couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ken Urdal prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
