In the last second Valdir Pérez throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ciro Elija in the 6thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Ciro Elija received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Valdir Pérez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdir Pérez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeoffrey Airpoel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Ciro Elija shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Pérez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ciro Elija came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Chelsicha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Elija couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goalkeeper Valdir Pérez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciro Elija. Ciro Elija sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 32 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Elija came free, but Valdir Pérez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, João Paulo de Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsicha's supporters rose to their feet, but João Paulo de Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdir Pérez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciro Elija took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir Pérez. Valdir Pérez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 39th minute, Ciro Elija made a precise shot to the right of Valdir Pérez. União Verde FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After 42 minutes of play, Chelsicha's Ciro Elija made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdir Pérez was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez got control of the ball when Ciro Elija tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernandão Loyola to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo de Carvalho came free, but Valdir Pérez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdir Pérez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Elija in the 54th minute of play. Ciro Elija scored 7-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdir Pérez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valdir Pérez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by União Verde FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Victor Velloso was slow to take the kick. During this time Chelsicha's players had a chance to rest.
