After taking down the ball on Club Atlético Atlanta's corner Emil Chwalkiewicz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paulo Renato Novaes quite easily take care of the ball. Marcos Berdoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Paulo Renato Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Coelho FC's Paulo Renato Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Coelho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 played minutes Coelho FC got a freekick which was hit by Valdo Peres. Marcos Berdoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mugur Chiriac in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Renato Novaes saved Coelho FC from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Mugur Chiriac made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Renato Novaes. Coelho FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Rodriguinho Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Mugur Chiriac notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Coelho FC's Paulo Renato Novaes. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mugur Chiriac made a kick off. In the 51st minute Rodriguinho Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 54 played minutes Coelho FC got a freekick which was hit by Jordi Puig. The audience was convinced that Mugur Chiriac's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Renato Novaes was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Pankracy Glogowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mugur Chiriac in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Renato Novaes saved Coelho FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 90th minute of play forced Coelho FC's goalkeeper Paulo Renato Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Club Atlético Atlanta had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
