The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cãlin Damaschin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Karlo in the 7th minute of the match. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Abilio in the 19th minute of play forced CERRO PORTEÑO's goalkeeper Cãlin Damaschin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by CERRO PORTEÑO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dawid Beckham was slow to take the kick. During this time AFC FUSION's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on AFC FUSION's corner Thiago Silva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cãlin Damaschin quite easily take care of the ball. Roberto Eztebe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Velasco in the 23rd minute. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind CERRO PORTEÑO's goalkeeper Cãlin Damaschin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cãlin Damaschin came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC FUSION's Aureliano Karlo. But to his dismay, Aureliano Karlo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 40 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's Aureliano Karlo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cãlin Damaschin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Wojciech Fiszer in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by CERRO PORTEÑO's Eusebiu Cimpoi. A hard shot 47 in the game by Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis from a close distance when the talented Roberto Eztebe managed to make a qualified save. AFC FUSION's players were relieved. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind CERRO PORTEÑO's goalkeeper Cãlin Damaschin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CERRO PORTEÑO's Cãlin Damaschin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Karlo in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Aureliano Karlo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cãlin Damaschin. Aureliano Karlo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. AFC FUSION's Mari Balotelli was substituted for Aureliano Karlo. AFC FUSION's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dawid Beckham in the 73rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Dawid Beckham got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cãlin Damaschin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cãlin Damaschin made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Mari Balotelli sent off a good shot on target. Mari Balotelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cãlin Damaschin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Mari Balotelli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cãlin Damaschin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Mario Sesuldo made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by CERRO PORTEÑO's Gwidon Kaczor. In the 93rd minute, AFC FUSION's Mari Balotelli ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cãlin Damaschin. Cãlin Damaschin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4.
