The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of U. de Tarapacá booed when Baez FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank De Jong didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute Danilo Zárate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Balboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mark Devia kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Baez FC's Ni Zhen Feng got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ariel Balboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ni Zhen Feng in the 10th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Ni Zhen Feng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Balboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Zárate came free, but Ariel Balboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baez FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ruperto Ralondo in the 18th minute. U. de Tarapacá's Ariel Balboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thalis Papazisis in the 26th minute of play. Frank De Jong made in the 29th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by U. de Tarapacá's Estevan Espínola. Ariel Balboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thalis Papazisis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Ni Zhen Feng came free, but Ariel Balboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Ni Zhen Feng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Balboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Thalis Papazisis made the kick off in the second half. Baez FC's Horacio Jesus Carvallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orfilio Orbañanos in the 52nd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Frank De Jong in the 54th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by U. de Tarapacá's León Philippi. When Orfilio Orbañanos came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the U. de Tarapacá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orfilio Orbañanos couldn't finish the play. Ariel Balboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Zárate in the 61st minute of play. In the 65th minute Domingo Barcena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Jesus Carvallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filip Balonek made in the 69th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Danilo Zárate however managed to control. After 72 played minutes U. de Tarapacá got a freekick which was hit by Estevan Espínola. Ruperto Ralondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Barcena in the 75th minute of play forced Baez FC's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Carvallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingo Barcena kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute of the game Filip Balonek made a throw-in which Qi Qing played forward. After 88 minutes of play, Baez FC's Ni Zhen Feng made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ariel Balboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to U. de Tarapacá getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Muharrem Duman hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Baez FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than U. de Tarapacá.
