Aníbal Barca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabio Betadur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. When Cristian Chan came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Quebrachitos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Chan couldn't finish the play. Fabio Betadur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Barca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kupati Jebe hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Fabio Betadur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Barca, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The audience was convinced that Aníbal Barca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabio Betadur was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 22nd minute of the match Quebrachitos FC got a corner. LA DEL MONO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aníbal Barca ran over to the corner to take the kick. 23 minutes into the match, Cosme Oalo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Quebrachitos FC's Oscar Ekhi. Oscar Ekhi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fabio Betadur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Barca in the 26th minute of play. Cristian Chan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute Cosme Oalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Ekhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes LA DEL MONO got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Rudolfo. A collision led to Quebrachitos FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Anacleto Indartsu hit a great ball. When Conrado Frascuelo fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LA DEL MONO's protests and gave Conrado Frascuelo a yellow card for diving instead. A hard shot by Aníbal Barca from long distance, 41 minutes into the match, got Fabio Betadur's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 44th match minute, Quebrachitos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kupati Jebe to maneuver through the defense. Quebrachitos FC's Tadeu Pombal quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Zhuo Sha Le, made in the 46th minute of the game. Atilano Gipuzkoa struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Fabio Betadur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quebrachitos FC. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cosme Oalo made a kick off. A collision led to Quebrachitos FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Jalen Brunson hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the game, Tadeu Pombal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quebrachitos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LA DEL MONO the free kick. After a rather tough play, Quebrachitos FC's Tadeu Pombal got a free kick in the 54th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosme Oalo during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th match minute, LA DEL MONO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Oalo to maneuver through the defense. Fabio Betadur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aníbal Barca went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Aníbal Barca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quebrachitos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aníbal Barca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Betadur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A sloppy throw-in by Zhuo Sha Le in the 70th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Quebrachitos FC's Tadeu Pombal. After a defensive mix-up in LA DEL MONO's zone, Aníbal Barca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Betadur came out of the goal and Aníbal Barca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oscar Ekhi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosme Oalo in the 71st minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, Quebrachitos FC's Cristian Chan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabio Betadur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Barca in the 78th minute of play forced LA DEL MONO's goalkeeper Fabio Betadur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zhuo Sha Le kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the LA DEL MONO players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Quebrachitos FC.
