Newcastle United's Pankracy Malicki quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Mikolaj Jerzyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceferino Odol in the 6th minute of play. Mikolaj Jerzyk came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by BYDGOSTIA's Nicklas Lindström. But to his dismay, Nicklas Lindström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Tadeusz Pstrongowski made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kajetan Kochniarczyk. Mikolaj Jerzyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceferino Odol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ceferino Odol might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mikolaj Jerzyk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ceferino Odol ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ceferino Odol managed to get in a good position for a shot. BYDGOSTIA's supporters rose to their feet, but Ceferino Odol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikolaj Jerzyk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zbyszko Leper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pankracy Malicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zbyszko Leper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pankracy Malicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Zbyszko Leper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adam Pacholewski in the 36th minute. With a little luck, BYDGOSTIA's Zbyszko Leper got control of the ball when Adam Pacholewski tried to sneak it across the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Ceferino Odol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mikolaj Jerzyk. Newcastle United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ceferino Odol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Nicklas Lindström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zbyszko Leper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pankracy Malicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Lampa during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 48 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Newcastle United! The Newcastle United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BYDGOSTIA were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pankracy Malicki to make the kick off. Vladislav Sarafov's late challenge caught a Newcastle United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladislav Sarafov helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, BYDGOSTIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladislav Sarafov to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Mikolaj Jerzyk successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 67 minutes into the match, BYDGOSTIA's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Pacholewski came free, but Zbyszko Leper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BYDGOSTIA made a substitution. Kazimierz Trojanowski replaced Patryk Zgonina. Marian Erland made in the 70th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Adam Pacholewski however managed to control. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mariusz Warka during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 71 played minutes BYDGOSTIA got a freekick which was hit by Mariusz Warka. In the 75th minute of the match, Kazimierz Trojanowski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mikolaj Jerzyk saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zé Paulo Zonta hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute BYDGOSTIA were awarded a corner. Nicklas Lindström went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Ceferino Odol at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Newcastle United. 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kazimierz Trojanowski in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mikolaj Jerzyk saved Newcastle United from getting behind. Kazimierz Trojanowski's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Mikolaj Jerzyk skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Julian Obuchowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kazimierz Trojanowski in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mikolaj Jerzyk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to BYDGOSTIA getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Mariusz Warka hit a great ball. In the 100th minute of the match Kajetan Kochniarczyk shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zbyszko Leper showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. BYDGOSTIA's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
