Oséias Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diedrik Nys having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Reis in the 10th minute of play forced São Petersburgo FC's goalkeeper Diedrik Nys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Flávio Reis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diedrik Nys was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 14thth minute of the game Flávio Reis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but São Petersburgo FC's Diedrik Nys was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Sipo EC fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Sipo EC's Flávio Reis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 24th minute, Oséias Gerber left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sipo EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 26 minutes into the game, Flávio Reis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Diedrik Nys was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Albert Hidegkúti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Diedrik Nys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flávio Reis in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diedrik Nys prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes into the match, São Petersburgo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Flávio Reis came free, but Diedrik Nys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Sipo EC's Noel Velloso to fire away a dangerous shot which Diedrik Nys despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Sipo EC's Flávio Reis in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye São Petersburgo FC's goalie prevented a goal. 42 minutes into the game, Flávio Reis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Diedrik Nys was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Sipo EC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Francisco Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes in the game, Albert Hidegkúti fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Diedrik Nys having to interfere. Diedrik Nys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Reis in the 56th minute of play. Albert Hidegkútis short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Diedrik Nys to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Diedrik Nys stood somewhat misplaced when Flávio Reis came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 61 minute. Hamílton Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carroll Hathaway having to interfere. Flávio Reiss short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Diedrik Nys to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flávio Reis got free with Diedrik Nys in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diedrik Nys was a little too slow when Flávio Reis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-7. In the 80th minute, Toni Godinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 81 in the game by Flávio Reis from a close distance when the talented Diedrik Nys managed to make a qualified save. São Petersburgo FC's players were relieved. Flávio Reis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Diedrik Nys made a huge save. Diedrik Nys stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albert Hidegkúti's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. With a little luck, São Petersburgo FC's Diedrik Nys got control of the ball when Flávio Reis tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 97 played minutes São Petersburgo FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Lima. In the 98th minute, Noel Velloso sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and São Petersburgo FC's Diedrik Nys didn't even have to move. The São Petersburgo FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sipo EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
