The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Tadeo Distiratsu managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Imperio Académico's Ismael Jerrold fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Luciano Vidal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tadeo Distiratsu was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. When Francis Delfín fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jarana FC's protests and gave Francis Delfín a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Jarana FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Francis Delfín hit a great ball. Tadeo Distiratsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Vidal in the 10th minute of play. Tadeo Distiratsu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ismael Jerrold in the 14th minute. With a little luck, Jarana FC's Tadeo Distiratsu got control of the ball when Ismael Jerrold tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tadeo Distiratsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Vidal in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th minute Luciano Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Distiratsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarana FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luciano Vidal 17 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After 22 played minutes Imperio Académico got a freekick which was hit by Rikard Albohm. Adrian Clis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Gitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 25th minute Wilfredo Gitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Clis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Jarana FC fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Jarana FC's Wilfredo Gitano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Adrian Clis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Gitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Tadeo Distiratsu made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Ismael Jerrold sent off a good shot on target. After 35 played minutes Imperio Académico got a freekick which was hit by Godfredo Louis. Luciano Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Imperio Académico's Tadeo Distiratsu threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfredo Llorienzo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Imperio Académico were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Jarana FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hilario Tab took the corner. Marcelino Quexal made a great header on Imperio Académico's corner, it was just that Jarana FC's Tadeo Distiratsu managed to reach the ball for a save. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilfredo Gitano was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Llorienzo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tadeo Distiratsu was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After 58 minutes Jarana FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hilario Tab who took care of the corner kick. After 59 played minutes Jarana FC got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Enaut. 60 minutes into the game, Charilaos Bogdanos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Tadeo Distiratsu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Amador Igon came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Imperio Académico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amador Igon couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute Ismael Jerrold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Distiratsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amador Igon in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadeo Distiratsu saved Jarana FC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amador Igon in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tadeo Distiratsu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adrian Clis came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Jarana FC's Wilfredo Gitano. But to his dismay, Wilfredo Gitano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Jarana FC's LeBron Puck was substituted for Wilfredo Gitano. Imperio Académico's Emilio Sugoi was substituted for Marcelino Quexal. Jarana FC made a substitution. Alfredo Rius replaced Sigve Rossland. Tadeo Distiratsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Igon in the 76th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ismael Jerrold in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadeo Distiratsu saved Jarana FC from getting behind. In the 80th minute Godfredo Louis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Distiratsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Ismael Jerrold was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Imperio Académico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jarana FC the free kick. In the 83rd minute, Ismael Jerrold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Jarana FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Apolo Enaut hit a great ball. Tadeo Distiratsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Igon in the 85th minute of play. The supporters of Imperio Académico booed when Jarana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Jakes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute of the match Jarana FC got a corner. Imperio Académico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eulalio Jakes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Eulalio Jakes made a great header on Jarana FC's corner, it was just that Imperio Académico's Adrian Clis managed to reach the ball for a save.
