Unidad de Matanza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abuba Akotonon FC the free kick. The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when Unidad de Matanza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Fero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unidad de Matanza's Hipolito Cordario got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 57 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Eber Ludueña. 61 minutes into the match, Arturo Baraquiel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Domingos Iaki, 1-1. 68 minutes into the match, Unidad de Matanza's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Sotil came free, but Cornelio Pueblo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Abuba Akotonon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Nerio came free, but Domingos Iaki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Piarres in the 90th minute of play forced Unidad de Matanza's goalkeeper Cornelio Pueblo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hipolito Cordario got free with Domingos Iaki in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Unidad de Matanza's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
