Thomás Borges made in the 3rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Nae Buteanu immediately put the ball in play. Niceto Ihazintu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Juvenal Sergipano firmly grabbed it by the left post. Niceto Ihazintu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juvenal Sergipano came out and tried to block the shot, but Niceto Ihazintu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Niceto Ihazintu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juvenal Sergipano. That made the score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. Juvenal Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Ihazintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Juvenal Sergipano was a little too slow when Niceto Ihazintu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 3-0. Niceto Ihazintu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Juvenal Sergipano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Niceto Ihazintu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juvenal Sergipano having to make a save. Caatiba MZC's Ergo Muro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lobo Zornoza in the 29th minute of play. Juvenal Sergipano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niceto Ihazintu in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Caatiba MZC's Niceto Ihazintu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Juvenal Sergipano. Juvenal Sergipano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Ergo Muro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Froila in the 35th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Niceto Ihazintu could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Juvenal Sergipano however easily saved by the left post. When Niceto Ihazintu came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Caatiba MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niceto Ihazintu couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niceto Ihazintu in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juvenal Sergipano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ergo Muro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Froila in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Célio Fontes in the 44th minute of play forced Caatiba MZC's goalkeeper Ergo Muro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute Amado Froila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ergo Muro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Célio Fontes to make the kick off. Juvenal Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Ihazintu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Niceto Ihazintu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juvenal Sergipano was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Niceto Ihazintu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juvenal Sergipano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 65th minute Niceto Ihazintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juvenal Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Ihazintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Nae Buteanu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Ergo Muro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nae Buteanus short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Ergo Muro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Niceto Ihazintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 71 minutes into the match, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Ihazintu came free, but Juvenal Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE made a substitution. Brian Johnson replaced Lobo Zornoza. Niceto Ihazintu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juvenal Sergipano having to make a save. Niceto Ihazintu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 85 minutes of play, Caatiba MZC's Niceto Ihazintu made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juvenal Sergipano was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Thomás Borges fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's protests and gave Thomás Borges a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, Thomás Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juvenal Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Ihazintu in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute Amado Froila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ergo Muro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niceto Ihazintu struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Juvenal Sergipano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caatiba MZC.
